MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – September 23, 2013 5:00 PM

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Ed informed the Selectboard of medical leave of the Transfer Station Attendant. The temporary employee that was hired to assist the DPW during the winter season will be offered to work the hours until the attendant returns. In the meantime the DPW crew will cover the hours.

Steve made a motion to appoint the election workers as noted, Tom seconded board agreed unanimously.
Phil Grannan updated the board on the grants he is currently working on. (HMGP, Strap and LESO)
Phil needed to be assured in awarded the strap grant that Tolland would be able to commit to the work scheduled quoted within the grant. For example the hiring of a project engineer in November. The board agreed to the schedule.
Received a letter from Lou Santoro requesting a discount rate for part time residence to use the Transfer Station. At this time the town does not offer a discounted rate.
Jessica Kelmelis left a letter looking for some direction to pass onto Crocker in regards to the phone system that will be installed at the Town Hall. Do we want each phone in the Town Hall to maintain its own direct line or just extensions with voicemail? Steve stated one direct line with extensions and Eric agreed as long as there were not a large amount of extensions.
Reviewed audit management letter and auditors findings. (report attached)
